[As it had been for years now, High Tower avenue was thriving. Despite rush hour having naturally found its conclusion for the morning, there were still plenty of formally dressed individuals walking among the roads and paths of the densely filled business park on the outskirts of Level 11's Capital. Many of Level 11's pre-existing buildings had been bulldozed and replaced by new ones, both as a display of ability from the continued progress shown by the M.E.O.D.'s Renovations Division, and to make sure that all buildings could actually be used inside the area. Some buildings were notorious for being impossible to enter and lacking any kind of interiors, but thanks to technological developments that no longer had to be the case.

One such new building was one that had only been finished recently, colloquially known as "The Plus" due to its layout resembling the shape of the same name. It was used an office for many companies within the M.E.O.D., but the top floor of the squat structure was used exclusively by the Marketing Division. When the plans for the building were drafted in late 2037, this division was only going to take up two wings of the top floor, but by the time it was finished in March of the following year the new additions to the team required them to take up the entire penthouse.

Within one of the conference rooms in the Plus, there were a handful of people already sat. The Regional Manager was present, as were many people specified to oversee the conception of a number of new items to sell. A Marketing Director, a Chief Compliance Officer, a Chief Financial Officer, and others were all sat around the oblong table which was flanked on all walls by at least one flatscreen television.]

Frank Belle: You're late.

Molly Hanks: Yes, sorry. We are.

Liv Kellan: Don't worry, though! We have our pitch…

Kay Dempster: Hm. I would hope.

[The Regional Manager himself was the first to speak, acting as second in command to the entire Marketing Division, beaten only by the actual CEO and (technically) Leyland Locke. Molly Hanks and Liv Kellan awkwardly shuffled through the door into the conference room whilst apologising, being seen through the glass wall pacing through the hall and almost dropping a plastic carrier bag. After Kay Dempster spoke, the Chief Financial Officer, the room felt awkwardly silent as the two new arrivals got themselves stood at the head of the table and back a few steps. Liv Kellan took out her phone, folding it open and using the touchscreen to access the screens across the room. With a momentary flash of white light from each one, they suddenly came to life with the same image.]

Frank Belle: So, just a reminder to you both… keep this short and simple. You're already behind schedule.

Molly Hanks: 'Course. We know what we're doing here… We've been working here for years.

Frank Belle: Mhm… And is this an idea you've been working on for years? The two before you have been drafting up their plans for half a decade.

Molly Hanks: Well… no. We haven't.

Liv Kellan: You know we didn't need to say that.

Molly Hanks: Sorry. But it's the truth.

Liv Kellan: It's something we're still passionate about, though!

Frank Belle: …Right. I see. Well, you may begin.

[Frank ended his sentence with a dismissive wave of his hand as he sat back in his chair, doing a secondary arm flick to bring both his arms together to cross them. His negative tone didn't seem to affect the pair, however, as they both squared themselves up side by side while whispering. After getting into their presumably rehearsed positions, Liv cleared her throat.]

Liv Kellan: Okay! We're not going to waste time.

Molly Hanks: No, not at all. We're cutting right to the point with a simple question.

Liv Kellan: Yep. That question is this. What ways are we still needing to innovate in?

Molly Hanks: That's not rhetorical, by the way. Feel free to take some swings at answers.

Frank Belle: That’s… Not how these pitches normally work.

Molly Hanks: Well, this isn’t a normal pitch.
